Clyde & Shona were married at St Michael the Archangel Chapel in Leederville with their reception at the Aquarium of WA (AQWA). This was a crazy crazy wedding, one of the most fun of the year. Actually most of the day was pretty normal with a beautiful church ceremony followed by family photos and bridal party photos. Then we managed to shoot a little downstairs at the aquarium before heading up to the reception.
When I met Clyde and Shona we were going through the timeline just like the above until we got to the reception and they said they wanted to do the cake cutting and first dance straight away. I told them the sun wouldn’t have set yet so best to have it later but they insisted they’d need to get “everyone in a dancing mood as early as possible”. That’s when my ears pricked up… “why?”
Then they told me about this cool music video idea which required participation from everyone so the earlier people were willing to dance the more committed they would be to the video.
I got the idea and couldn’t wait for it!
Here are my favourite images from the day. As for that video? Once you get to the bottom of my images, check it out at the end of the post!
